Edward Maloney is a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate. Maloney has served in the Illinois Senate since 2003. Maloney was re-elected in November of 2006 with his term expiring in 2010. Maloney also served one year in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1992 to 1993.

Maloney graduated from Lewis University with his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and graduated with his Master's degree in Education from the University of Chicago.

Before becoming a Senator, Maloney was a Teacher and Educational Administrator.
