Edward Maloney is a former Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 18 from 2003 to 2013. Maloney also served one year in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1992 to 1993.

Maloney graduated from Lewis University with his bachelor's degree in political science and graduated with his Master's degree in Education from the University of Chicago.

Before becoming a Senator, Maloney was a Teacher and Educational Administrator.
