Edward Ra is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 21 since 2011.

Ra has been a legal aide to the New York State Attorney General and the Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Hempstead. He earned his B.A. in 2004 from Loyola College in Maryland, his J.D. in 2007 from St. John's University School of Law and his LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law in 2008 from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He lives in Franklin Square with his wife Laura.

Ra was uncontested in the September 14 Republican primary. Ra defeated Patrick Nicolosi (D) and Mimi Pierre Johnson (D) in the general election on November 2.[1] In addition to his slot on the Republican Party ticket, Ra was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Conservative Party.
