Elaine Nekritz (b. December 11, 1957) is the Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 57th District since 2001.

Nekritz is a Partner in the Law Firm of Altheimer and Gray. She previously served as Legislative Aide to State Senator Jeff Schoenberg.

She is a member of the Trail Users Rights Foundation Board, Illinois Bar Association, National Council on Jewish Women, Democratic Committeeman of Northfield Township, and is Chairperson of the Village of Northbrook's Community Relations Commission.[1]

Nekritz is running for re-election to the 57th District seat in the Illinois House of Representatives in 2012. She is unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012. Jonathan L. Greenberg is running in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012.[3]

Nekritz won re-election to the 57th District seat against Republican Richard G. Hamen.[4] She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[5]
