Elaine Smith is a Democratic member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 29B since 2012. She previously represented District 30B from 2002 to 2012.

Smith won re-election in the 2012 election for Idaho House of Representatives. Due to redistricting, she ran in District 29B. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary[2] and defeated Craig Cooper (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
