Elder Vogel Jr. has been a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate since being first elected in November of 2008 and re-elected in 2012 with his term expiring in 2016. Vogel also served as a Township Supervisor for New Sewickley Township since 1997.

Vogel owns his own dairy farm in addition to being a Senator.
