Elizabeth A. Crowley has been a Democratic member of the Rhode Island State Senate. Crowley was a candidate for the Rhode Island State House of Representatives in 2000, but she failed to be elected. She joined the Rhode Island State Senate in 2008. She has served in that position since, representing the 16th district.

Crowley won re-election in District 16. She defeated Joseph P. Moran III in the September 11 Democratic primary. She defeated Nicholas S. Gelfuso (M) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
