Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
|| Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Ellsworth Community School, Antrim and Charlevoix Counties, Michigan, be increased by 18.5 mills ($18.50 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 3 years, 2012, 2013 and 2014, to provide funds for operating purposes (18 mills of the above is a renewal of millage which expired with the 2011 tax levy and .5 mill is an increase of millage to be used to restore any future reductions required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and will be levied only to the extent necessary to restore such reductions); the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $706,674?
