The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 4, 2014. Incumbent Emily A. Kane was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Sarah Maestas Barnes was unopposed in the Republican primary. Kane and Maestas Barnes will face off in the general election.[1][2]
