Eric Cooper (b. April 12, 1966 Iowa City, IA) is a 2012 Libertarian candidate for District 45 of the Iowa House of Representatives. He was the 2010 Libertarian candidate for Governor of Iowa. He has previously been a candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives in 2008, 2004, and 2002. Cooper is the Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Iowa as of November 2012.

Cooper is an associate professor at Iowa State University. He earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and BS in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Kansas.[1]
