Eric Cooper (b. April 12, 1966 Iowa City, IA) is the 2010 Libertarian candidate for Governor of Iowa. He has previously been a candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives in 2008, 2004, and 2002. Cooper has served on the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Iowa since 2006.

Cooper is an associate professor at Iowa State University. He earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and BS in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Kansas.[1]
