Erik Peterson (b. March 8, 1966) is a Republican member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 23 since being appointed December 7, 2009. He previously served on the Hunterdon County Board of Freeholders from 2006-2009.

Peterson is an attorney with the Law Office of Erik C. Peterson LLC, and Owner of Pep Title Agency. He previously served as a Partner with Large, Scammell & Danzinger LLC from 2000-2003, Gordon & Peterson LLC from 1998-1999, and Manager of Beneficial Management Corporation from 1988-1993.[1]

Peterson is running for re-election in 2011. He is bracketed with incumbent John DiMaio in the Republican Primary on June 7. The top-two vote getters will advance to the general election on November 8, 2011.[2]

2009

Bracketed with incumbent John DiMaio in the November 3, 2009 election, he received 47,968 votes (35%), defeating challengers William Courtney and Tammeisha Smith.[3][4] He was bracketed with Erik Peterson.[5]
