Ernest Fenton is a 2013 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House in the special election for the 2nd Congressional District of Illinois.


Following Fenton's service in the United States Army he attended Chicago State University, where he graduated in 1994. He went on to graduate from Harvard Law School in 1997. He currently practices law in Chicago, owning his own law firm.[1]

Fenton is running in the 2013 special election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 2nd District. The election is being held to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr.. Fenton is running in the Democratic primary on February 26, 2012. The general election takes place on April 9, 2013.[3]
