Ernest R. Clark was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 17 of the Oklahoma State Senate. He has earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. He is Cherokee and a voting member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. He has served in administration positions in local schools and the United States Department of the Interior.[1]

Issues

Clark says small government and cutting spending are some of his campaign themes. He wants Oklahoma to emphasize STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs in school. He also wants to reduce federal regulations on banks and lenders.[2]
