Ernest Shand (b. February 3, 1940) is a former Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Windsor-2 from 2003 to 2013.

He previously served as a Selectman on the Weatherfield Select Board.

Shand served in the United State Coast Guard. He has also worked for a Southern New England Telephone Company and as an Engineer for Bell Atlantic.

Shand attended Southern Connecticut State College. He also attended New Haven College.

Shand ran for re-election to the Windsor 2 District in 2010. He defeated Jeff Whittemore (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
