A Essexville City General Levy Increase measure will be on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the City of Essexville which is in Bay County.

This measure seeks to increase the general levy to a rate of 15 mills for an ongoing amount of time in order to further fund general municipal needs in the city.[1]

Text of Measure

The question on the ballot:

An amendment to Section 15.8 of Article XV of the City Charter to increase the authorized maximum millage from ten (10) mills to fifteen (15) mills which may be levied annually by the City Council for General Municipal purposes. This amendment would increase the Charter limit from 10 mills to 15 mills upon a 5/7ths affirmative vote of the Council and would be first levied in 2012.[2]
