A Fairfield Township Road Levy Renewal measure will be on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Fairfield, which is in Lenawee County.

This measure seeks to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $2 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road improvement and maintenance costs in the township.[1]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitation on General Ad Valorem Taxes imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution, in Fairfield Township of 2.0000 mills ($2.0000 per $1000 of taxable value) for a period of 4 years, 2013 through 2016 inclusive for Road and Bridge maintenance and improvement within the Township, and shall the township levy such millage upon taxable real and personal property within the Township for said purpose thereby raising in the first year an estimated $108,438?[2]
