Felix Ortiz (b. November 2, 1959) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 51 since 1995. Ortiz's political experiences also include member of New York City Department of City Planning; member of the 72nd precinct community council; and democratic district leader for the 51st Assembly District.

Ortiz's professional experiences include the United States Army; administration of criminal justice, New York City Mayor's Office; senior budget analyst for Office of Management and Budget; and administration manager for Bureau of Management and Budget, Office of Bronx Borough President.

Ortiz earned a BS in business administration from Boricua College and a MPA from New York University. He is married to Elba.[1]

Ortiz ran unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary. He defeated Henry Lallave (R) in the general election on November 2.[2] In addition to running on the Democratic ticket, he ran on the Working Familes ticket.
