The Limit Property Taxes did not appear on the November 4, 2008 statewide ballot in Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment. The measure would have been subject to conditions specified therein, the maximum combined insurance cost on real estate and the contents within, including all charges and all perils, excluding flood, shall be limited to eight tenths of one percent of the insured value of property as stated on the policy, and shall apply to all insurance companies operating within Florida’s jurisdiction including Citizens Property Insurance. The legislature would implement any and all provisions in this section.

The Florida Ballot Initiative, a 527 advocacy group, sponsored the initiative.

It was filed with the Florida Secretary of State. It did not make the ballot.
