The Florida Senior Homestead Assessment Amendment did not make the November 6, 2012 state ballot in Florida as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. If enacted this amendment would have enabled the state legislature to authorize counties and municipalities to limit the assessed value of homesteads of low-income senior citizens. The measure was being sponsored by state Representatives Jeanette Nuñez and Erik Fresen.[1][2]
