Five Franklin Fire, Health, Library and Aging Tax Continuation measures were on the March 27, 2010 ballot in Franklin Parish.

All five of these measures were approved

The first measure sought to continue a 10.53 mills property tax for a further five years which is expected to generate near $69,000 for fire district number 2 in the parish.

The second measure sought to continue a 10.66 mills property tax for a further ten years which is expected to generate near $57,000 for fire district number 4 in the parish.

  • NO 64 (30%)

The third measure sought to continue a 3.25 mills property tax for a further ten years, generating near $179,000 in order to help with the parish health unit.

  • NO 857 (34%)

The fourth sought to continue a 7.53 mills property tax for a further ten years, generating an expected $415,000 in order to help fund the public library system in the parish.

The fifth measure sought to continue 2.03 mills property tax for a further ten years generating an estimated $122,000 which would go towards helping the parish's council on aging.[1]
