Fred Madden has been a Democratic member of the New Jersey Senate since 2004. Bills that have been sponsored by Senator Madden include Senate Bill 2 and Senate Bill 57.[1]

Madden graduated from Glassboro State College with a B.A. in Law and Justice, and also graduated from St. Joseph's University with a M.S. in Criminal Justice.[2]

In addition to being a Senator, Madden also works as a security consultant of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Madden was the acting superintendent of the New Jersey State Police from 2002 to 2003 and also was the Chief of Investigations.[3]

Madden is running for re-election to the District 4 State Senate seat in the 2011 election. He was unopposed for the June 7 Democratic primary. He is opposed by Giancarlo D'Orazio (R) and Paul Alexander (I) in the general election which takes place on November 8, 2011. [5]

In 2007 Madden was re-elected to the New Jersey State Senate District 4. Madden (D) finished with 21,395 votes while his opponent Shelley Lovett (R) finished with 14,364 votes.[6] Madden raised $232,008 for his campaign fund.[7]
