Garry Bearden was a Democratic candidate for District 36 of the Alabama House of Representatives. The primary election was on June 1, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

Bearden has served as the Mayor of the City of Weaver and the Superintendent of the Weaver Water Board.

Bearden worked for Super Valu Stores for 23 years. He then began working for Supermarket Planning Equipment and Contruction Services, Inc., B & B Storage, Inc., and Bearden Properties.

Bearden was uncontested in the June 1 primary. He was defeated by incumbent Randy Wood in the November 2 general election.[1]
