Gary Chism (b. December 24, 1950) is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 37. He was first elected to the chamber in 1999.

Biography

Chism's professional experience includes working as an independent insurance agent and co-owner of Columbus Insurance Services Incorporated, an agent for the Liberty National Life Insurance Company, and Brakeman with the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad Railroad. He served in the Mississippi National Guard from 1969 to 1979.[1]

On November 8, 2011, Chism won re-election to District 37 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the August 2 primary and was unchallenged in the November 8 general election. [2]

On November 6, 2007 Gary Chism was re-elected in District 37. He defeated Democratic challenger J.C. Patton in the general election.[3]
