Gary Staples (b. January 16, 1940) is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He has represented the 88th District from 1988-1992 and currently since 2004.

Staples is retired. He worked for BellSouth.

Staples attended the University of Southern Mississippi and Jones Junior College. He is a member of the American Legion, Jones County Cattleman's Association, Laurel Telephone Pioneers, Mississippi Arts Fair for the Handicapped, and the Northeast Jones Future Farmers of America Alumni.[1]
