Gary Steakley was a Republican candidate for District 15 in the Tennessee State Senate in the November 2, 2010 state legislative elections.

Steakley was defeated by Democrat Charlotte Burks in the general election on November 2, 2010. Also defeated was independent Joe Wilmoth. He was unopposed in the August 5 primary election.[1]

  • Believes in enforcing our immigration laws and in building a jobs-friendly environment in Tennessee[2]

Biography

Steakley was a career law enforcement official - much of it spent in Washington D.C. investigating fraud, waste and abuse. He was a 6th generation Tennessean.[2]
