Gen Olson (b. May 20, 1938) is a former Republican member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 33 from 1983 to 2013 and serving as President Pro Tempore. Before becoming a Senator, Olson was the Mayor of Minnetrista from 1981 to 1982 and was a councilperson from 1979 to 1980.

Olson graduated from Minnesota with her Bachelor's degree in 1959 and her Educational Doctorate in 1980. Olson is a former teacher.
