Genesee County School District Levy Renewals, 7 (May 2010)

Seven Genesee County School District Levy Renewal measures will be on the May 4, 2010 ballot in seven school districts in Genesee County.

The first measure is for a renewal of Clio school district's $2.00 levy on each $1,000 of assessed property value for a further ten years. The money generated from this tax goes towards the building and sinking fund for the school district.

The second measure is for a renewal of the Goodrich school district's operations levy which is set at $18 per $1,000 of assessed property value.

The third measure is for the renewal of the Grand Blanc school district's building and site sinking fund which is a levy set at $1.00 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The levy would be in place for a further five years.

The fourth measure is for the renewal of the Kearsley school district's building and site sinking fund which is a levy set at $1.30 per $1,000 of assessed property value. This levy would be in place for a further six years.

The fifth measure is for the renewal of the Lake Fenton school district's building and site sinking fund which is a levy set at $1.00 per $1,000 of assessed property value and would be in place for a further ten years.

The sixth measure is for the renewal of the Montrose school district's levy for non-principle residence which is set at $18 per $1,000 of assessed property value and would be in place for a further five years.

The seventh measure is for the renewal of Swartz Creek school district's building and site sinking fund which is a levy set at $1.80 per $1,000 of assessed property value, it would be in place for a further twenty years. [1]
