Gerarda Culipher was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 34 of the Virginia State Senate.

Culipher attended Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate. She then graduated from Tulane Law and worked as a federal judge in New Orleans. She then worked as a law clerk for a federal judge. She later became an adjunct professor at American University’s Washington College of Law.

Culipher ran in the 2011 election for Virginia Senate District 34. He was uncontested in the August 23 primary and was defeated by incumbent Democrat John Chapman "Chap" Petersen in the November 8 general election.[1]
