Glenn Patterson was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 34 of the Illinois State Senate.

Patterson earned his AS in Education from Rock Valley College. He went on to receive his B.S. in Education from Rockford College. He then earned both a MEd in Curriculum/Instruction and a EdS in Education Administration from Northern Illinois University. Patterson works as a teacher of U.S. History/African American History/Physical Eduction for the Rockford School District.

Patterson ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 34. Patterson was running against Dan Lewandowski, Steve Stadelman and Marla Wilson in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012 but was removed from the ballot on January 17, 2012.[1] Incumbent Dave Syverson is not running for re-election in District 34. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]


Patterson is married and has four children.
