Yarbrough ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Texas. He and Paul Sadler defeated Sean Hubbard and Addie Dainell Allen in the May 29, 2012, Democratic primary and advanced to the July 31 primary runoff. He was then defeated in the runoff by Sadler.[1] [2]
