Greece Central School District is a school district in New York. It is the largest suburban school district in Monroe County, with PreK-12 enrollment of nearly 12,000 students. The District operates a total of 20 schools, specifically 3 high schools, 1 grade 6-12 school, 3 middle schools, and 13 elementary schools. It employs 1,081 faculty, 67 administrators, and over 1,300 support staff.[1]

Teacher Contracts

The latest teacher contract was scheduled to run from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2006, and can be found here. Teacher contracts are negotiated with the Greece Teachers Association.

Administrative Officials

The current superintendent is Barbara Deane-Williams. She took the position on July 1, 2011. According to the District's website, Deane-Williams entry plan is based around the five themes of community vision and values, systems perspective and leadership, communication, organizational structure, and relationships and results.[16]


Teacher contracts are negotiated with the Greece Teachers Association, which is an affiliate of New York State United Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers. Annual dues for 2009-2010 were $677.30.[17] The President of the Greece Teachers Association is Don Pallozzi.[18]

Academic performance

According to the New York State Accountability Report Card system, Greece Central School District is qualified as academically in "Good Standing," with positive performance results in ELA, science, math, and graduation rates. A total of 19 schools were deemed individually in good academic standing, while Apollo Middle School is in its second year of corrective action.[20]
