A Greenbush Township Emergency Levy Increase measure will be on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Greenbush, which is in Clinton County.

This measure seeks to increase the current emergency levy by a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of five years in order to further pay for emergency services in the township.[1]

Shall Greenbush Township impose an increase up to 1 mill, $1 per $1000 of taxable value in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 5 years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for emergency services, which 1 mill increase will raise an estimated $71,900 in the first year the millage is levied of which a portion will be distributed to such other or fewer units of local units of government as the Township determines appropriate.
