This measure sought to increase the current emergency levy by a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of five years in order to further pay for emergency services in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall Greenbush Township impose an increase up to 1 mill, $1 per $1000 of taxable value in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 5 years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for emergency services, which 1 mill increase will raise an estimated $71,900 in the first year the millage is levied of which a portion will be distributed to such other or fewer units of local units of government as the Township determines appropriate.[3]
