A Grenleaf Township Fire Levy Renewal measure is on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Greenleaf, which is in Sanilac County.
This measure seeks to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for fire protection costs in the unincorporated areas of the township.

|| Shall the previous voted increase in the 15 mill tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes in Greenleaf Township, of one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 0.9737 mill by the required millage rollbacks, be increased to and renewed at the original voted one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for four (4) years from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2016 inclusive, for the specific purpose of fire protection in the unincorporated areas of Greenleaf Township, raising an estimated Twenty Eight Thousand One Hundred Seventy Three Dollars ($28,173) in the first year the millage is levied?
