Greg Brownfield was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 23 of the Illinois State Senate. He unsuccessfully ran for Illinois House of Representatives in 2010.

Brownfield is an attorney. He previously worked as a legal aid attorney in the Carol Stream office of Prairie State Legal Services.

Brownfield earned a BA in Philosophy from California State University at Long Beach and a JD from The University of Kansas School of Law in Lawrence.[1]

Brownfield ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 23. Brownfield was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012. He faced Kevin Allen and Thomas E. Cullerton. Incumbent Carole Pankau (R) is defeated Randy Ramey in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Personal

Brownfield grew up in San Pedro, California. He moved to the Chicago area in 1999. Brownfield currently lives in Bartlett with his wife Debbie and daughters Olivia and Lindsey.[1]
