Lucas ran in the 2012 election for Pennsylvania House District 5. Lucas ran unchallenged in the Republican primary on April 24 and defeated Jason White (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Republican John Evans did not seek re-election.[1]
