MacMaster won election to the District 105 Seat in 2010. He defeated Barry Anderson, Tim Boyko, Triston Cole, Kenneth Glasser and Dennis Lennox in the August 3 Republican primary. He defeated Greg Dean (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
