Two Hagar & Weesaw Township Fire Levy Increase measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the townships of Hagar and Weesaw, which are in Berrien County.

Both measures were approved

The Hagar measure sought to increase the current fire levy by $.50 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of ten years in order to help pay for the replacement of current fire trucks.

  • NO 589 (49.66%)

The Weesaw measure sought to increase the current fire levy by $1 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of four years in order to help pay for fire protection services as well as maintenance for equipment.[1]
