A Harrison Township Police Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Harrison, which is in Macomb County.

This measure sought to renew the current police levy which is set at a rate of $6.68 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further one year in order to continue to pay for police, fire and emergency services offered in the city.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the authorized Charter Millage for the Charter Township of Harrison, County of Macomb, be renewed at up to 6.6876 mills ($6.68 per $1,000 of taxable value) upon real and tangible personal property for the Year 2013 of which 5.0435 mills shall be allocated for fire protection services, including vehicles, apparatus, equipment, housing, personnel, and emergency medical and ambulance service; and up to 1.6265 mills for police protection services, which will generate an estimated $5,639,121?[3]
