Peeler earned his BS from Clemson University in 1970.
Professional experience
Peeler was a Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He has worked as Vice President and General Manager of Peeler Jersey Farms Inc. since 1974. He is currently a businessman and dairyman.
Political experience
Peeler was on the South Carolina Appalachian Council of Governments. He served as Chair of the Finance Committee from 1977 to 1980. He joined the South Carolina State Senate in 1980. He has served in that position since, representing the 14th district.
