Joseph Heath Shuler (b. December 31, 1971) is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from North Carolina. Shuler was elected by voters from North Carolina's 11th congressional district.

Biography

Shuler was born in Bryson City, North Carolina. He earned his B.A. from the University of Tennessee in 2001.[1]

Career

Before earning his degree, Shuler played professional football. He later returned to finish his degree, and then started a real estate brokerage and has been involved in that industry.[2]
