Aquino won re-election in the 2012 election for Hawaii House of Representatives District 38. Aquino ran unopposed in the August 11 Democratic primary and ran unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Aquino won re-election to the 35th District Seat in 2010. Aquino defeated Inam Rahman in the September 18 primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010. Reginald Yago ran on the Republican ticket for this seat.[3]
