Gonzales ran in the 2012 election for Texas House of Representatives, District 124. Gonzales defeated Yvonne Valdez in the May 29 Green Party primary election and was defeated by incumbent Jose Menendez (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3]
