Herb Russell is a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Rutland 5-3. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010.

Biography

Russell attended the University of Kentucky at Lexington and the State University of New York. Russell is a board member of the Vermont Rail Action Network and the Rutland Representative for the Petition to Save the Ethan Allen. He is currently a pharmaceutical technician at Walgreens. He previously worked in telemarketing, guest services, and customer service, but spent the bulk of his career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. He

Russell won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 5-3. Russell was unopposed in the August 28 Democratic primary and defeated John Mattison, Jr. (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Herb Russell ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 5-3 in 2010. He ran against Daniel White in the Democratic primary on August 24, 2010. He was opposed by Carl Haas (R) in the November 2, 2010 general election. According to unofficial results Russell won one of the two seats in the district, but as of November 15 a recount is pending.[4]
