Herman Farrell (b. February 4, 1932) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 71 since 1974. Farrell has been the county leader for the New York County Democratic Committee since 1981 and the Democratic District Leader since 1973. His other political experiences include elector for Electoral College; committeeman and vice-chair of the New York State Democratic Party.

Farrell's professional experiences include confidential aide to the State Supreme Court Justice; assistant office director for Mayor John Lindsay, Washington Heights; and instructor for New School for Social Research on Banking. He has three children; Monique, Herman, and Sophia.[1]
