Humboldt County is one of 58 California counties. The Humboldt County elections department is in charge of the conduct of ballot measure elections for all municipalities and school districts throughout the county.

Carolyn Crnich is Humboldt County's Clerk/Recorder and Registrar of Voters.

Impact of 2006's Measure T

In June 2006, Humboldt County voters approved Measure T by a margin of 54.6%. The measure forbids non-local corporate contributions to campaigns for Humboldt County measures.[1]

Federal Court judge Susan Illston issued a federal injunction against Measure T on September 22, 2008.[2],[3]
