Idaho, located in the Pacific Northwest, was the 43rd state admitted into the Union. It is landlocked by Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Wyoming and British Columbia. Idaho is nicknamed the "Gem State." The capital is located in Boise, which is in the southeast region of the state.

Idaho has two members of the U.S. Senate, two members of the U.S. House of Representatives, 70 members of the House of Representatives and 35 members of the State Senate.'
