The Controller of the State of Idaho is the chief financial officer of the government of Idaho.

The controllers main duties are to maintain all accounting and financial records, to pay all the state’s bills and employees, to preparing the state’s annual financial report and to operate the state’s Computer Service Center. The controller's office is subdivided into three divisions, the division of statewide accounting, the division of computer services and the division of statewide payroll. The controller also has the duty of Social Security Program Administrator and is the ex-officio secretary of the State Board of Examiners.

The State Controller is elected to a four-year term but is limited to two terms.

The current state controller is Donna M. Jones.
