The 16th Congressional District of Illinois is a congressional district covering a part of northern Illinois, including the cities of Rockford, Crystal Lake, Machesney Park, Belvidere, Freeport and Galena, and all or parts of Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Carroll, Ogle, DeKalb, and Whiteside counties.

The current representative of the 16th congressional district is Adam Kinzinger (R).

The 16th congressional district of Illinois held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent from the 11th District, Adam Kinzinger won the election in the district.[1]

On November 2, 2010, Donald A. Manzullo won re-election to the United States House of Representatives. He defeated George W. Gaulrapp (D) and Terry G. Campbell (G) in the general election.[2]
